Ramp Up Your Ramen

We’ve recently fallen in love with Mike’s Mighty Good Ramen. Besides its all organic pedigree and steamed noodles (instead of the usually fried noodle “cakes” that most ramen use) Mike’s has some of the silkiest, delectable broth we’ve ever tasted. But even perfection can be improved upon- that’s why we’ve got some tasty tips to add to your ramen that will turn the flavor factor up to eleven.

Ingredients

Try adding:

• Eggs. We like to pre-cook them to over easy and then just slip them into the broth. Or you can even just add a hard-boiled egg.

• Pickled veggies like Zymbitoics Zimchee or Ginger Zarrots will add a little crunch and zing

• Any fresh veggies like mushrooms, scallions, kale, spinach or onions are a welcome flavor booster

• This one may sound strange, but a slice of American cheese will melt into the broth and coat the noodles in a way that might surprise you (in a good way)

• Looking for a little more protein? Some slices of your favorite deli meat or even some shrimp will make this soup into a meal
