Mountain Valley Spring Water and Class Action Lawsuit
October 9, 2025
A consumer driven class action lawsuit has been filed in federal court against the makers of Mountain Valley Spring Water, a product sold at Outpost. The basis of the lawsuit centers on alleged false marketing as “purely sourced and free of pollutants” when the bottled water allegedly contains multiple carcinogens via independent laboratory testing conducted in July 2025.
Contaminants allegedly claimed to be found in the water: arsenic, uranium and bromoform, substances with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Contaminant Level Goals of zero, meaning no safe level for human consumption.
In short, the case centers on alleged false marketing, not negligence or nuisance.
Primo Water, the parent company of Mountain Valley, disputes the claim. They have not made a public statement. The company insists that their products comply with FDA limits. A pdf of the Mountain Valley Spring Water 2025 Water Quality Report can be found HERE.
The Mountain Valley Spring Water class action lawsuit is Nadel v. Primo Water Corp., et al., Case No. 9:25-cv-80993, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
