As a director for Outpost Natural Foods, I would like to invite you to our next annual meeting on March 20th. If you have never been to one, it’s a great way to meet other Outpost owners and play an active part in your favorite grocery cooperative.

And your attendance is important to our work!

As a cooperative, we remain strong when owners like you join us in both our democratic decision-making as well as the celebration of our successes in making Milwaukee a better place.

This year’s annual meeting will be at Mount Mary University (information can be found here) and as an attendee, you will be updated on important Outpost news and happenings. You will also get to see both store management and the board in action as we strive to lead the co-op further into 2016 and beyond.

Improvements to Voting

Maybe most importantly, you will play an active role in the election of your Board of Directors. Every year, three seats on the board become available, and you elect candidates to fill those positions. At the annual meeting, all candidates will be onsite to introduce themselves and mingle with those in attendance.

I am also happy to announce that we moved the annual Outpost election so it now coincides with the annual meeting. This is exciting news because -- for the first time ever --  you will be able to vote for your three favorite candidates during the event.

Live Stream of Meeting

Can’t make it to Mount Mary?  That’s not a problem.

To improve access to the meeting for more owners, we will also be broadcasting the annual meeting to three of our Outpost locations (Bay View, Capitol Drive, and Mequon). These store locations will offer a space to watch the live video feed, along with facilitators to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.

Milwaukee’s grocery options continue to grow.  As we meet the challenges they bring, we need your cooperative intelligence, support, and input to successfully move forward. So show your support for Outpost and RSVP for the annual meeting. I am looking forward to seeing you there!
