Our co-op shoppers rose to our Buy A Bag challenge and as a result, we exceeded our goal and raised a record-breaking $115,065 to purchase $230,130 worth of natural and organic food for those in need!
Since 1999, Outpost owners and shoppers have provided over $2.6M worth of food through our Buy A Bag program to help alleviate hunger in our community!
For a $20 donation, Outpost purchases $40 worth of natural and organic foods for the hungry, including fresh carrots, apples and potatoes. It's enough to fill a grocery bag!
Food is delivered to the emergency food bank at Hunger Task Force in the late winter months when community donations tend to drop off.
Here's how your donation adds up:
- $20 feeds a small family of two with $40 worth of food
- $40 feeds a medium family with $80 worth of food
- $60 feeds a large family with $120 worth of food
