For the past 25 years, food is the only life Scott Repinski has known. While he dabbles in a lot of things, his main passion has always been chocolate. Fresh out of school, Scott got his start in the chocolate business working in product development for Milwaukee-based Ambrosia Chocolate.

That’s where he fell in love with the business. Now Scott and his business partner, Roger Schutten, are putting their years of knowledge into running their own company, The Chocolate Trader in West Allis. Their office is a short walk to the retail chocolate shop Scott owns. But for the past year, Scott and Roger have been working on selling their new line of chocolates in stores like Outpost.

If there’s a Willy Wonka in this story, it’s Scott, who developed an all-natural dark chocolate that blends the finest antioxidant-rich African chocolate liquor, cocoa butter and, for a twist, the chocolate is infused with heart-healthy olive oil and they’re GMO-free. The chocolates sold under “The Dark Side” label come in three flavors — chocolate, mint and sea salt.

As the business continues to grow, Scott and Roger have one goal: to provide the best services they can with the highest quality product possible. This way they never have to worry about the competition.
