Local Partnerships
We are delighted and grateful to have long-term partnerships with the following organizations committed to keeping our communities vibrant and connected. Together we can all make a difference in creating a healthy, diverse, and sustainable place to live.
Family Sharing of Ozaukee County
Family Sharing operates the longest standing food pantry in Ozaukee County. In addition to this they operate an upscale resale shop which helps to fund pantry operations. Outpost in Mequon has been happily collecting food donations to benefit Family Sharing since we opened in 2014. Learn more about Family Sharing of Ozaukee County.
Food For Health
Located in the heart of the Harambee/Bronzeville neighborhoods of Milwaukee, Food For Health is Outpost's newest community partner. Their mission is to provide free medically tailored meals over a 12-month program, combined with weekly wellness coaching, to underserved communities. Learn more about Food For Health.
Friedens Food Pantry
Outpost has been a participant and supporter of Friedens Food Pantries' annual Empty Bowls fundraiser since they began hosting this long-time community event in 2022. After the event, Outpost continues to sell handcrafted bowls made by local artists to collect funds that directly support the work of Friedens' four Milwaukee food pantries. Read about them in GRAZE.
Hunger Task Force
Outpost and Hunger Task Force have been partners since the late 1990's. We share their common goal of ending hunger in our cities. Outpost has created a number of programs to help them achieve that goal. With Hunger Task Force, all food and services are provided free of charge to local area emergency food pantries. Look for these programs in stores throughout the year.
Kinship Community Food Center
Kinship is on a mission to serve Milwaukee and be a catalyst for change! Nestled in the basement of St. Casimir church in the heart of Riverwest, don't be fooled by the size of their facility. They serve a broad population with food as a cornerstone. Outpost works with Kinship to help raise funds and organize volunteer activities. Read about them in GRAZE.
