Pasta plays a such a big role in people’s diet and culture, but maybe you can’t eat grains or have chosen to go gluten-free. Brenda and Steve Frazier know where you’re coming from. Brenda always loved pasta but for health reasons she discovered she could no longer eat grains. She looked for grain-free pasta but just couldn’t find anything she liked to eat. So, hoping to create good pasta that she could enjoy, Brenda experimented in her kitchen and created a grain-free, gluten-free pasta using garbanzo beans. Now Brenda sells her own pasta. Her company, Dr. Noodles is based in Weston, Wisconsin, and it’s Brenda’s way of giving people who can’t eat pasta the opportunity to enjoy it again. In fact, if you ask Brenda what keeps her and her husband motivated to keep making Dr. Noodles she’ll say, “to provide great tasting, healthy pasta to people who have missed eating pasta.” Brenda and Steve have a guiding vision for making Dr. Noodles, “It is changing how the world eats, one noodle at a time.”
