In 2016 Outpost partnered with Venice Williams of Alice’s Garden to create a unique retail space for very small local entrepreneurs living in the 17th and North Avenue community. The Outpost Makers Market was born. The Market offers a unique space connected to an Outpost store location that allows a select group of neighborhood entrepreneurs the opportunity to have access to and engage with daily Outpost customer traffic. These micro business owners learn what customers want while growing their product line and honing their craft. Working with Venice Williams and the Makers Market vendors allows Outpost to further its vision of supporting a healthy, diverse and sustainable community, and foster the development of locally owned, independent businesses.
